Also, the technical college programs are not more than two years, which allows you the chance to see the light at the end of the fast food tunnel, unlike at a traditional university where you might attend for four years or more.

Having less school with more skills in the end seems to be the right choice for most high school graduates these days. You just don’t have the time or the money to pay for a larger university degree.
