What is a community technical college? This is a school which teaches skills, but that also offers a different way of learning.
Local Resources for Learning
A community technical college might be right up the street from you. This school offers you the training you need for a career, but without the bureaucracy of a larger school and without the silly classes that other schools might make you take. There are some other differences from a typical college setting which you might find appealing:
- Smaller size – Since the school is smaller, it’s much easier to access your classrooms and to traverse the campus, unlike those campuses with miles of grass between you and your next class in the next ten minutes.
- Smaller classes – The smaller classes will allow you to get more teacher attention, especially when you have a lot of questions.
- More skills focused learning – In a technical college, you will be able to focus on the skills you want to cultivate, not on those dummy freshmen classes.
- The opportunity to attend classes at night – You have a job and a life, so you can’t go to school all the time. At a technical college, you might not have to attend classes all day. After all, the teachers have jobs too.
An accredited community technical college is a place where you can be more focused on the skills you wish to gain, not just on how many classes you can cut without failing because you’re bored out of your mind.
